BROTHER ZENON PATRON OF THE SCHOOL.
On October 24th 2006, in Surowe, brother Zeno’s birth place, the local school was named after the great Franciscan missionary to Japan. During a solemn ceremony a memorial placque was unveiled and a school banner with the image of brother Zenon Zebrowski was blessed. In attendance were the Japanese ambassador to Poland, Ryuichi Tanabe, Bishop of Łomża, Tadeusz Bronakowski, Franciscans from Niepokalanów, brother Zenon’s family members, local clergy, teachers and students of the school. Brother Zenon Zebrowski is a patron of another school in Wykrot, in Myszyniec county. |
